September 16-18, 2010

After our first outdoor festival, Jimmy made this statement:

Thank you to everyone that attended our first annual Pickin’ On Cystic Fibrosis Bluegrass Festival. We had a great time and raised $2,500 for Cystic Fibrosis research. Over the past three years the bluegrass fans and musicians have helped us raise $10,000 that has been donated to various CF organizations. Profiles of the bands that performed this year are linked below. We encourage you to read about them and support them when they are playing in your area.

We would like to thank every musician that graced our stage. They donated their time, talent and many helped us any way they could and we are grateful to you all.

Thank you to Ralph Paige for donating the great sound system and sitting at the board for the entire weekend. You are like a brother. Many of the fans not only purchased tickets, they also made monetary donations that came from their heart. It really helped in this effort and we thank you for your generosity.

Thank you, to Mark and Peggy Ann, owners of KC Campground. You have not only been partners in this event, you have been friends and we thank you for all you have done.

This festival would not have been successful without the efforts of my dear friends Bill and Pam Warren. They gave of their time, talents and money to help this cause. They went the extra mile when I couldn’t. They came to the festival early, stayed late, worked the gate, did the MC work, took pictures, ran our website, and the list goes on and on. Our family and the families that deal with Cystic Fibrosis are sincerely grateful to you both.

We are already working on next year. Each band that performed has offered to come back again. We are looking at dates and they will be posted as soon as it is determined.

Again, thank you all for you support, one day we will beat this disease!

Sincerely,
Jimmy
